EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
SKILLSUSA and/or TECHNOLOGY STUDENT ASSOCIATION
Students attending the Technical Center are eligible to join SkillsUSA and/or the Technology Student Association (TSA), both of which provide valuable opportunities for career and technical education (CTE) students. SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers, and industry professionals working together to ensure America has a skilled workforce. It offers educational programs, events, and competitions that enhance technical and leadership skills. TSA is a national organization dedicated to students interested in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), providing competitive events, leadership development, and networking opportunities. The ANC Technical Center supports student participation in these organizations, covering all expenses for those who qualify to compete in their area of study at the Arkansas SkillsUSA Competition or TSA events. State winners advance to national competitions, with the potential to compete internationally.
